Resilience is the power word of 2020!
Faced with many challenges we can choose to re-imagine what the last few months of this year will be like. Although we can rarely control what is happening outside of us, we can manage what is happening inside of us.
Navigating through our inner world is where more sustainable transformation happens and where our focus has been in our group classes the past couple of weeks.
We are settling in to our new School of Happiness online studio in BC with a Thrive instead of Survive approach. Well-Being and Happiness are important to us, so every day we show up for all of Us to flow through the currents of a changing world. .
This month we are creating the building blocks for inner strength and resilience with introspective slow flow practices, down regulating our nervous systems with deep paced breathing exercises, meditation practices to clear the cluttered mind along with untangling inner knots by exploring mindful movement designed to evacuate deep tension and stress.
The effort we make in our well-being practices transfer into our day to day life. Our commitment to self-care guides us to face each challenging moment with greater ease and grace. When we don’t take regular time out’s, we end up living in the “rush-race” which creates frantic and fragmented feelings of overwhelm and un-managed emotions.
I invite us all to collectively infuse each day with mini “me-moments” to gradually and consistently evacuate daily disturbances and varying forms of stress to show up as a better version of yourself in all areas of your life.
The result? Enjoy a soothing feeling of coming home to your Self which translates as a more self-aware, calm, relaxed, and happy You. Naturally.
